Acacia Poles is the trading name of Xylo Impact SRL, a producer of black locust timber (Robinia pseudoacacia). We process the wood from log to finished product in our own factory in Romania, and deliver by truck across Europe.
The company
2014: Xylo Impact SRL registered in Romania.
2019: production of robinia stakes begins, in a rented sawmill in Romania.
2022: purchase of a former sawmill, now our factory and registered office.
2 founders, forestry engineers based in Romania since 2010.

450 kWp of solar panels on the roofs.

The wood
Our own forestry operations, within 200 km of the factory.
Romania has more than 270,000 ha of robinia.
1,500 m³ of logs permanently in the yard.
Density: 0.70 to 0.90 t/m³ depending on moisture content. Our robinia grows slowly and sits rather at the top of that range.
The products
Around 15 product categories, more than 250 products.
The whole range is in stock, except milled stakes: about 70 trucks of finished products ready to ship.
Deliveries
600 trucks a year to more than 25 European countries, within a 3,000 km radius.
On average 30 m³ / 24 t per truck.
Durability
Class 1-2 according to EN 350:2016: the most durable European wood.
Our experience: up to 30 years in the ground without treatment, depending on the soil, and up to 60 years above ground.
For comparison, in the ground: oak 10 to 15 years, sweet chestnut 15 to 20 years.
Environment
1 tree planted for every m³ sold: more than 75,000 trees planted so far.
A robinia nursery where 750,000 seeds have been sown.
1.3 t of CO₂ stored per m³ of robinia.
