Sanded eucalyptus poles for pergolas
Unlike our robinia stakes, posts and boards, these poles are made of eucalyptus: slender Eucalyptus grandis stems, of South African origin, debarked, sanded in our factory in Romania and impregnated with copper azole. Light and uniform, they are mainly used to cover pergolas. They are in stock and ship on their own or in the same truck as your robinia stakes and posts.
What are they used for?
Pergola covering: laid side by side on the structure, they filter the sunlight.
Light outdoor constructions: shelters, screens, garden features, with no ground contact.
For the pergola structure (posts and beams), choose sanded robinia posts: they can go in the ground, eucalyptus cannot.

Treatment and service life
Copper azole impregnation: protects against weather, insects and fungi.

Service life up to 20 years.
Over time, the wood turns grey, its colour varies and small cracks may appear: this is normal.
Eucalyptus or robinia?
Eucalyptus poles: above ground (covering, cladding); copper azole impregnated; use class 3; up to 20 years.
Robinia: in ground and above ground (stakes, posts, structures); no treatment; use class 4; up to 30 years in ground, depending on the soil, and 60 years above ground.
For anything in contact with the ground, see our stakes and our sanded robinia logs.
