Robinia and EUDR: traceability from forest plot to truck
Updated on 8 October 2026.
The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) applies to wood from 30 December 2026. It requires operators to prove that wood placed on the EU market is legal, does not come from deforested land, and to state its exact origin. For our robinia, this proof already exists: here is what we do and what we provide to you.
Why it is simple with us
Wood from Romania, an EU country classified as "low risk" by the European Commission.
Producer, not trader: we harvest, process and ship ourselves, from our factory in Romania.
Mandatory traceability in Romania: every transport of wood is declared in SUMAL, the national traceability system, with a unique code. This also applies to the wood we buy from other forestry operators.
GPS coordinates of the forest plots of origin available.
Due diligence statement: we file it ourselves, as the first operator placing the wood on the EU market.
What you receive with every truck
the goods accompanying note and the SUMAL note;
the e-Transport (UIT) code;
the CMR consignment note;
the technical data sheet of the products delivered;
the invoice.
As soon as the EUDR applies, the reference number of our due diligence statement will appear on the invoice and the delivery note. This is the number you keep if you resell or process the wood.
On request
the marking/tally list of the felling (APV) and the GPS coordinates of the forest plots;
the processing report;
the carbon footprint and the certificate of conformity;
the FSC® certificate (chain of custody, licence C153588); delivery as FSC® 100% on request;
for countries that require them: ISPM 15 pallets and fumigation certificate.
The journey of the wood
Forest plot: trees marked and measured (marking/tally list), GPS coordinates.
Felling by our teams or by an authorised forestry operator.
Transport declared in SUMAL, with a unique code, to the factory.
Our factory in Romania: debarking, sawing, pointing; each batch is tracked in our management system.
Truck: documents above, e-Transport code, CMR.

What about FSC®?
FSC® certification does not replace the EUDR: it complements it. See our FSC® certification. To understand SUMAL and the EUDR in detail: Romanian timber traceability: SUMAL, APV and EUDR.
Frequently asked questions
Is robinia covered by the EUDR?
Yes. Wood and wood products, including stakes, posts, boards and firewood, are covered by Regulation (EU) 2023/1115.
From when?
For wood, from 30 December 2026, for all companies, including micro and small enterprises. The postponement to 30 June 2027 does not apply to wood (Regulation (EU) 2025/2650).
Do I have to file a statement myself?
We file the statement, as the first operator. Under the amended regulation, if you resell or process the wood, you do not file a new one for that same wood. The first buyer in the EU records our reference number; subsequent buyers keep the details of their supplier. This information must be kept for 5 years. Check your own situation with your adviser: this is not legal advice.
What if my customer asks me for geolocation data?
We can provide the GPS coordinates of the forest plots your batch comes from.
What about the wood you buy from other forestry operators?
It follows the same traceability: in Romania, every transport of wood is declared in SUMAL.
Is the FSC® certificate enough?
No. It complements the EUDR but does not replace it. We provide both.
